Library News for the Week of April 8, 2024

Happening at the Worthington Library for Adults:

  • Thursday, April 18th:  Poetry Slam from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. – bring your original works and show us your talent!  Audience will judge and prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
  • Monday, April 22nd:  Friends of the Library Book Club at 6:00 p.m. –we will be discussing “The Violin Conspiracy” by Brendan Slocum.  All are welcome!
  • Tuesday, April 23rd:  Citizens Utility Board from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. – register for a FREE 30-minute energy bill consultation by calling the library at 507-295-5340
    • From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – interactive discussion to learn more about the future of cleaner energy

 

Happening at the Worthington Library for Youth:

  • After School Programs:
    • Mondays (grades 4-9):  Wii from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Tuesdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Wednesdays (toddlers-preschoolers):  Story Time from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesdays (girls grades 5-9):  Just Gurlz from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Thursdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • Please call the library at 507-295-5340 to sign your children up.  You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library; please have your children picked up by 5:00 p.m.

Nobles County Art Center:

  • Now Showing:  64th Annual Area Art Show is on display until June 28th.  Come view local artist’s work!
  • Art Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. – there is no cost to join and all are welcome!
