Upcoming Holiday Closures – Worthington

  • Closed on Saturday, September 2nd and Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day.
  • Closed on Saturday, September 16th for King Turkey Day.

 

Upcoming Holiday Closure and Saturday Hours – Adrian

  • Closed on Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day.
  • The Adrian library will resume their Saturday hours beginning September 9th.  (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

 

Summer Reading Programs for Youth – Adrian

  • Summer Reading Programs – this is the last Wednesday of programs!  (August 30th)
    • Story Time:  12:10 to 12:50 p.m. (no need to register)
    • Arts & Activities:  1:00 to 2:15 p.m. (please register by calling 507-483-2541 or e-mailing adrianlib@co.nobles.mn.us
    • September 1st is the last day to turn in your reading logs for prizes!

 

After School Programs for Youth – Worthington

  • After School Programs begin the week of Monday, September 11th!
  • Please call the library at 507-295-5340 to sign your children up.
    • Mondays (grades 5-9):  Wii from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Tuesdays (grades K-5):  After School Program from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Wednesdays (toddlers-preschoolers):  Story Time from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesdays (girls grades 5-9):  Just Gurlz from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Thursdays (grades K-5):  After School Program from after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library.
  • Please have your children picked up by 5:00 p.m.

 

Adult Programs – Worthington

  • Tuesday, September 19th – Paint Party with SammyJo Miller from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Pre-registration is required!
  • Wednesday, September 20th – “Prairie Songs:  Sing along with Laura Ingalls Wilder” from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

 

Other Happenings in the Library – Worthington

  • Nobles County Art Center:
    • Art Show:  Creature Feature (by Kelly Henkels)
      • Showing through September 6th.
    • Art Club – 4th Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
      • There is no cost to join – all are welcome!
    • The Art Center is located in the basement of the Nobles County Library.
      • Hours:  Monday-Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Tuesdays: 12 – 3 p.m. through October)
