Library News for the Week of July 1, 2024

Holiday Hours at the Libraries:

  • Please note that the Adrian Library and the Nobles County Library in Worthington will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd and will be closed Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.


Happening at the Adrian Library:

  • Summer Reading Programs:
    • Teens:
      • Tuesday, July 9th from 4:30-6:00 p.m.: Polymer Clay – Create something wonderful!  Then make it last by baking it.
      • Tuesday, July 30th from 4:30-6:00 p.m.: Book Club – we’ll discuss “Instructions for Dancing” by Nicola Yoon
    • Wednesday Afternoon Adventures:
      • Story Time from 12:10 – 12:50 p.m. (no need to register)
      • Crafts and Games from 1:00-2:00 p.m. (Please pre-register for this program!)

Happening at the Worthington Library for Adults:

  • Monday, July 1st:  Friends of the Library Book Club at 6:00 p.m.  We will be discussing the book, “The House in the Cerulean Sea” by TJ Klune.  All are welcome!
  • Wednesday, July 10th:  Mammal Mania with Tiffany Muellner, Blue Mounds State Park Naturalist – 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. (ages 6+ please)


Happening at the Worthington Library for Youth:

  • Summer Reading Programs have begun and go through the beginning of August.
    • Tuesdays:  Teens (grades 6-12) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday Mornings:  Story Time (ages Preschool – Kindergarten) – 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesday afternoons:  1st-3rd Grade – 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
    • Thursdays:  4th & 5th Grade – 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Special Programs for All Ages in July:
    • Wednesday, July 10th:  The Zoo Man at 10:00 a.m. AND 1:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday, July 17th:  CLIMB Theatre at 10:00 a.m.

Nobles County Art Center:

  • Art Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. – there is no cost to join and all are welcome!
