Summer Reading Programs for Youth – Worthington

  • The Summer Reading Programs go through the beginning of August. 
  • Please stop by the library or call 507-295-5340 to sign up your kids.
  • Schedule:
    • Tuesday, July 18thTeens (Grades 6-12) – from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  (downtown scavenger hunt!)
    • Wednesday, July 19thClimb Theatre at 10:00 a.m. – ALL AGES!
    • Wednesday, July 19th:  1st–3rd Grade – from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
    • Thursday, July 20thGrades 4th and 5th – from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
  • You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library.

    • Wednesday, July 19th at 1:30 p.m. – join us at the Adrian Elementary Commons!  CLIMB Theatre presents:  The Ant & The Grasshopper
      • This presentation combines the fable’s characters with games and interactive play.  Guests will learn anything is possible when we work together!
      • For all ages!
    • Don’t forget to record your reading in your Summer Log!  All events are free and open to the public.

Adult Programs – Worthington

  • Wednesday, July 19th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. – Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia – learn about the impacts, differences and treatments available.

 

Other Happenings in the Library – Worthington

  • Nobles County Art Center:
    • Art Show:  Creature Feature (by Kelly Henkels)
      • Showing through September 6th.
    • Art Club – if you’re interested in joining the Art Club, we meet the 4th Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
      • There is no cost to join – all are welcome!
    • The Art Center is located in the basement of the Nobles County Library.
      • Hours:  Monday-Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
      • During Farmer’s Market season (June through October), the Art Center will have a booth downtown and will be closing at 3:00 p.m. every Tuesday.
