Summer Reading Programs for Youth – Worthington

  • This is the last week of the Summer Reading Programs! 
    • Tuesday, August 1stTeens (Grades 6-12) – from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  (Teen Auction & water wars!)
      • Thank you to our local businesses that supported the Teen Auction:  Pizza Ranch, Burger King, Dominos, Jimmy John’s and KFC.
    • Wednesday, August 2ndStory Time (Preschoolers & Kindergartners) – from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesday, August 2nd1st–3rd Grade – from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
    • Thursday, August 3rdGrades 4th and 5th – from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
  • A huge thank you to our local businesses that participated in the Teen Scavenger Hunt:  Brown’s Shoe Fit, We Care Day Care, The Globe, Seed & Stem, Daily Apple, Main Street Kids, The Stag, Carpet Plus, Sterling Drug, Worthington Federal Savings Bank, Johnson’s Jewelry and Ameriprise Financial.

  • Summer Reading Programs – last day of programs will be Wednesday, August 30th.
  • Wednesdays:
    • Story Time:  12:10 to 12:50 p.m. (no need to register)
    • Arts & Activities:  1:00 to 2:15 p.m. (please register by calling 507-483-2541 or e-mailing adrianlib@co.nobles.mn.us
  • Don’t forget to record your reading in your Summer Log!  All events are free and open to the public.

  • Nobles County Art Center:
    • Art Show:  Creature Feature (by Kelly Henkels)
      • Showing through September 6th.
    • Art Club 4th Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
      • There is no cost to join – all are welcome!
    • The Art Center is located in the basement of the Nobles County Library.
      • Hours:  Monday-Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Tuesdays: 12 – 3 p.m. through October)
