Library News for the Week of November 20, 2023

The Worthington and Adrian libraries will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22nd and will remain closed through Saturday, November 25th in observance of Thanksgiving.
We will resume regular business hours on Monday, November 27th.



Happening at the Worthington Library for Youth:

  • After School Programs:
    • Monday, November 20th(grades 4-9):  Wii from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Tuesday, November 21st: (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Wednesday, November 22nd(toddlers-preschoolers):  Story Time from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesday, November 22nd:  No after school program.
    • Thursday, November 23rd:  Closed for Thanksgiving.
  • Please call the library at 507-295-5340 to sign your children up.  You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library; please have your children picked up by 5:00 p.m.


Happening at the Adrian Library:

  • Watercolor Christmas, with McKenzie Mulder – Saturday, December 2nd from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m.  Come learn the basics of watercolor painting and then create four Christmas cards to take home!  Please call the library at 507-483-2541 or e-mail to register for this program.  (ages 13 and older please)

Nobles County Art Center:

  • Art Show Information:  The annual Holiday Show & Sale has begun and ends December 22nd!  Open during regular business hours, as well as Saturday, December 2nd, 9th and 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Art Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. – there is no cost to join and all are welcome!  Go to our Facebook page to see past Art Club projects.
  • The Art Center is located in the lower level of the Nobles County Library.  Hours are Monday-Friday, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Contact us at 507-372-8245 or
