Fall Book Sale – Worthington

  • The Fall Book Sale date has been set!  Come to our Book Sale Wednesday, October 18th through Friday, October 20th in our Book Sale Room!  (lower level of the library)
    • We have a room full of items – and every item is only 25 CENTS!
    • Mark your calendars and take advantage of this great sale!
    • Our book sales are open to the public – not restricted only to library card users.

 

Halloween Carnival & Haunted Mad Lab – Worthington

  • Grades K-5 – Join us Friday, October 20th for our Halloween Carnival!
    • Open House from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  (don’t need to register)
    • Wear your costume!  Come play games, make trick-or-treat bags, go through the Haunted Mad Lab and MORE!

 

After School Programs for Youth – Worthington

  • Please call the library at 507-295-5340 to sign your children up.
    • Mondays (grades 4-9):  Wii from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Tuesdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Wednesdays (toddlers-preschoolers):  Story Time from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesdays (girls grades 5-9):  Just Gurlz from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Thursdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library.
  • Please have your children picked up by 5:00 p.m.

Adult Programs – Worthington

  • Tuesday, October 3rd:  Adrian Lee from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. – “UFOs in Renaissance Art”
  • Wednesday, October 4th:  Open Mic Night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. – Come showcase your talent!
  • Thursday, October 5th:  Board Game Night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. – Enjoy a night of playing games!  (Ages 18+ please.)
  • Tuesday, October 10th:  “It’s an Invasion” with Tiffany from Blue Mounds State Park from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. – Learn more about invasive species on land and in the water.
  • Tuesday, October 24th:  “Antiques: What to do with the family treasures?” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Presented by: Mary Jean Pigman

    • Art Show:
      • “Homestead Photography”, by Magnolia, Minnesota native, Sarah Sampedro
      • Show will be featured through Friday, October 27th
    • Art Club 4thMonday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
      • There is no cost to join – all are welcome!
    • Board Member:
      • The Art Center is looking for individuals who are interested in becoming a volunteer Art Board member!
      • The board meets on the third Monday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
