Library News for the Week of October 30, 2023

Holiday Closings in November:

  • The Worthington and Adrian libraries will be closed Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
  • The Worthington and Adrian libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 22nd and remain closed through Saturday, November 25th in observance of Thanksgiving.


Happening at the Worthington Library for Adults:

  • Tuesday, November 14th– AARP Presents:  Protect Yourself from Fraud and Identity Theft” – live via Zoom at Ecumen Meadows at 2:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 14th– Board Game Night – 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (ages 18+ please)


Happening at the Worthington Library for Youth:

  • After School Programs:
    • Mondays (grades 4-9):  Wii from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Tuesdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Wednesdays (toddlers-preschoolers):  Story Time from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
    • Wednesdays (girls grades 5-9):  Just Gurlz from after school until 4:45 p.m.
    • Thursdays (grades K-5):  Kids Club from after school until 4:45 p.m.
  • Please call the library at 507-295-5340 to sign your children up.  You are responsible for your own ride to and from the library; please have your children picked up by 5:00 p.m.



Happening at the Adrian Library:

  • Wood Burning Program – Saturday, November 4th from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m., come join us for “Wood Burning with Mikaiah”!  Learn about the art of wood burning and then make your own coaster.  Please call the library at 507-483-2541 or e-mail to register for this program.  (ages 13 and older please)  This program is funded through the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Nobles County Art Center:

  • Art Show Information:  “The annual Holiday Show (Nov.-Dec.) is coming up soon, if you’re interested in participating please stop in or contact us, as space is limited.  (no entry fee)
  • Art Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. – there is no cost to join and all are welcome!
  • The Art Board is looking for a volunteer member.  The board meets on the third Monday of each month for an hour.  Please contact us if you’re interested!
  • The Art Center is located in the lower level of the Nobles County Library.  Hours are Monday-Friday, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Contact us at 507-372-8245 or
