Board Books, Picture Books & Early Reader Books

Both libraries offer books for the youngest readers. Board books are primarily for ages birth through two. They have shorter stories and pages made of paperboard. Picture books, for toddlers, preschoolers and younger school-age children, have a larger format and illustrations to accompany a story. Early reader/ Beginning reader books are for those just learning to read; with limited word counts, short sentence repetition, and picture clues.
